I'm leaving for Roskilde in two days. And I cannot wait, Im super exited... I mean I've been to festivals before, but this is going to be on another level. We are going to be camping there and I think its going to be so much fun. I got this trenchcoat a week ago. I was overjoy when I found it, since it was the last S/M size. Its a little big, but I really like the coat. And now that I have one I think to myself you can never have enough trenchcoats.

Long cape: Monki: Jeans:GinaTricot, Top:H&M
I've been wearing a lot of black lately. One of the reasons why is because I look good. I like the simplicity and elegancy of wearing only colors such as black and white. Another reason why I've been wearing black is cuz I gained a lot of weight since you last saw. I understand that my body is just reflecting the consequences of these months full of stress, neglect and toxic people. Even though Im amaze about how my body has swollen I feel inspired and also happy that Im taking action to feel better. From now on I won't let nobody or anything influenced me in a negative way. I've realize that my body and soul are holding on to the past and we desperately need some closure.

Hey girls! As most of you know I took a long break from blogging and now that I'm back, Im in the process of reinventing my blog. Im thinking about the name done n done and Im contemplating on changing it to amandawithlove. But its going to be a while. But I though it would be wise to make a reintroduction about myself and what i want to focus on when it comes to blogging. So without further due. Here it is:
My name is a Amanda and I’m a intersectional postcolonial young woman trying to make it in this world surrounded by whiteness. I was born In Costa Rica but I spend my early teens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then I move to Sweden at the age of 15. It’s been almost 12 years since I move here. Because of my studies in International relations and gender studies I’m naturally incline towards working against structural problems of our society. In the last two years I have been working with newcomers/migrant youth and unaccompanied refugees. And I’m currently involved in associations that work against racism and sexism. I created with the intention of combining my scholar background and my love for fashion. I created this blog to express my creative side. Now many years later after the creation of this blog, Im ready merge the worlds by talking more about personal style and how it’s deeply attached with stereotypes and misconceptions. How important its to express your self in the way you want to. Without having to conform to mainstream ideas of what its cool and what is not. I want talk about representation within the fashionblogging community and why the mainstream beauty ideal is almost exclusively white. So now, let it all sink in and welcome to my personal style blog.

Kimono:GinaTricot, Jeans:GinaTricot, Shoes:Skopunkten,Top:H&M
Yesterday I celebrated my 27th birthday. Actually I've been celebrated it the whole week. I feel so blessed and Im very happy about how my life is at the moment. I m happy that I got a summer job working with unaccompanied refugee youth. I know Im going to miss working at the YMCA but I know that in order to achieve your goals you are sometimes force to make some changes.
I still not can't decided wether or not Im going to be working with unaccompanied refugees after the summer. Its great to have a secure job but I want to keep my options open. In case something better comes a long. Im longing to hear about a job that I applied. If I get it I know that my life is going to change for the better. The summer here in Sweden still hasn't arrived so these having something like a kimono like this to put on top of a jacket is so trendy and necessary to keep warm. With this kind of weather what I've learn is that the best thing to do is layers.
